    Default Reason for "mature

Say, does anyone know the reason for the recent "mature" rating this series has been given? It doesn't really have much at all in the way of violence, sexual content, or strong language, does it? My first thought was the sort of suggestive bits about Takashi's mom "really liking little boys", but that's not overtly sexual. Even if it's a little unsettling, I'm sure many manga have gotten away with much worse without getting labeled mature. As for language, I suppose there was a "**** it all" in the intro page to chapter 12, but is that enough to warrant the rating? Or was there more language through it I don't remember?

(Either way I think I might write a comment to the mods as even if there is a little more than I remember of either of those, that rating is very misleading (both to those who want to avoid that sort of thing, and for those who are attracted to it ^__^; ). But I figure I might figure out what I'm arguing against first, if anyone has any opinions, hehe.)

I think as the story progresses it gets more graphic...
Since it has the rating 'yaoi', I'm assuming as they get older (they age every volume) it gets graphic. I dunno though, I haven't read past what's on mangafox *shrug*

Yeah, that's what I'd assume. :/ Surely they wouldn't give it a premature rating if they didn't know for sure that it was going to be mature.

I've read till the end and it doesn't get any more risque or anything. I was just wondering if there was something I'd forgotten that made it worse. And now that I'm thinking about it again there is that bit about the butter dogs, so maybe that was it. ^__^; I guess I'll give them that one, heheh.

Maybe it's to suggest that yaoi in itself requires the "mature" rating.

If Tortellini-san says it doesn't really get graphic, then it can't be classed as 'Yaoi'. That, by definition, is porn for girls.

Anyway, I have to agree with you, Tortellini-san... It had to be the butter-dog-thing! That little fun-fact grossed me out! Though, Tamio in a dog costum was too Kawaii!

I've also got to recommend an RPG that came out on the DS a little while ago!

I just got myself, 'Sands of Destruction', an unobtrusive name, if I may say so myself. And if that doesn't get you interested, I don't blame you!
But, at the beginning of the story your first partner character goes, "To save the world, you must destroy it!"

When reading about it online, that was the part that got my attention! "Destroy the world to save it?" I said, "Well, that sounds interesting enough!"

So, I have it now. And while I'm at a point where I want to kick the crap out of the main character then hug him and say, "Don't you ever, ever, EVER, do that again!"
It did take me a bit, at the beginning, to get attatched. Maybe because of the awkward start...

But it has excellent sound, and decent graphics. And I am really enjoying the humor of the slightly off beat characters, and their surroundings. I haven't played to the end yet, but so far, it's promissing to be epic!
    This is much smaller!

Yaoi (やおい) also known as Boys' Love, is a popular term for female-oriented fictional media that focus on homoerotic or homoromantic male relationships, usually created by female authors.

    as defined by wikipedia.

Think the yaoi definition is one of those "depends on whose definition you're going by" things, hehehe. Since MangaFox has a separate yaoi and shounen-ai label, I figured they must be going by the yaoi=explicit BL and shounen-ai=non-explicit BL model.

(Wow, though! I'm surprised Wikipedia subscribes to the yaoi=BL definition! I figured it'd at least have the somewhat more particular (if not "correct", if you're going to consider the Japanese way to be the "correct" one, hehe) above definition rather than that.)

Alas, I haven't had much time to play games lately. (My brother doesn't have a job, though, and keeps playing them in front of me and making me jealous. Tch. )
