I have the same feeling. It was cute and all but him being her step-father was a bit well, 'strange'. Though it was an opened ending, I prefer that they remain step-father and daughter; and nothing more.

Ah, I really liked it too! I don't get too weirded out by december/may relationships in manga- they add an element of "cute" to the story in my mind (but not in real life- unless it's a reverse couple: older woman/younger guy. Since guys tend to die younger (statistically), it makes more sense that way- at least to me). Becides, these two were not actually related by blood anyway, so who knows how it would end? I just wish the mangaka would do a sequel for this couple.

i love it
hopes tanaka-san would make the sequel..
i'm okay if they stay the "step father -daughter " relationship ..
but if they were together it wouldn't be weird ,it would actually be great!

i actually wanted them to be together
it didnt bother me that much 
they weren't even related and the guy was pretty young, so the age difference wasn't that bad

The story was so cute! The age difference didn't bother me. After all, when he was 18, he married her mom who happened to be 28, same age difference between him and Chiyo. When she's 20, he'll be 30 so the age gap won't matter at all.

It wasn't the age difference that bothered me. It was the fact that he went for the mom first than the daughter next. Like ... what's her mom thinking up in heaven. The guy seemed like a pervert to me!

i don't agree with it, that was pretty crappy story and i feel it wrong because it can be categorized incest although they not blood related.
