    Default Cookbook

I have read some of this mangaka's other mangas and I think this one is pretty boring in comparison. She goes into excruciating detail about cooking in every chapter. I suppose it's interesting for a cookbook tho - she has recipes in the beginning of some chatpers and actually I would like to try some of them out of curiosity (I love Japanese food).

Ahha, I think maybe she's tired of sex for a while...? Though I wish there was a bit more :3

I think it's fascinating when mangaka have distinct other hobbies/interests other than anime/manga to display in their work... you can tell in a lot of her stories, that she enjoys cooking (and history too...! Ahah, with all her historical novels...) I would love to meet this woman <3

But yea, it's a cute comedy story about an odd couple, with no overarching plot. So if you're not into slice-of-life like that, or hate cooking, maybe not for certain people.

Has anyone tried the recipes?! I really want to...!! Chapter 8 seemed really easy <3 Anyone like to cook too? (I like to, but I suck at it)

It really did make me want to try out the recipe's... but as for the relationship between those two, it seemed rather platonic. I can't even recalled if they kissed at all in the entire manga.

However it is nice to read a mxm manga that isn't focused on sex.

This manga is (or was at some point?) serialized in a magazine targeted towards men (not necessarily gay men), so it's understandable that the focus would be on the day-to-day life of the characters instead of the focus being gay sex and a fast-moving plot, which would probably not have a universal appeal.
I personally love the detail put into the cooking parts - I feel like it tells something about who the characters are. Like instead of using other characters as foils, food is used as a foil for character development. It's slow, yes, but an interesting approach. I can see why it's boring to some people though. ^ _ ^''

I kind of like this one but I don't understand the cooking stuff because I don't have a clue what the ingredients are (I am not so familier with japanese food)
