Don't you think it's really unfair for a lot of mangakas to create a story with a sidekick female character with a strong feelings towards a protagonist which for sure are ignored and so on? Yes, sometimes they're paired with another character in the story, sometimes not. For that manga this is definitely Rinka Himeji, I don't know why the author decided to express her Daichi affection at all.
Do you know any mangas where the protagonist actually ends WITH a sidekick character? Kimi ga Nozomu Eien doesn't count.
