age of the characters

Ever since I've started reading and watching Saiunkoku, I've always wondered, how old are some of the characters. Especially Kouyuu and Shuuei, since there seem to be references about their age and maturity level, but only Seiran's age is mentioned It's so annoying, I wanna know! Can we speculate anything?

i read something about their ages... i think ryuuki is 19 when the story began
and shurei is 16 in the anime.. i'm not yet reading the manga so i dont know..
but base on the anime, this are their ages. hope this helps

Yes i think at the start of the series, ryuuki was 19 and shuurei 16. i think they mentioned like seiran was around 25 or 26 (or was it 27)?? and that shuuei was also around that age. so i'm assuming that shuuei and kouyuu may be a year or two younger than seiran (if not the same age). i'm guessing early 20s? they are definitely older than ryuuki though.
