    Default French heavy?

So far I'm only on Ch.6, so correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems like as if the manga is very French heavy with its choice of wines. French wines do generally have a sense of prestige attached to them, normally depicted in movies, novels, etc being the best wines. I mean for me French wine is great, but it's different to Italian wine, Australian Wine, West Coast American wine etc. etc. and they can all have their plus sides. I'm currently living in Spain, and they have some great wines here.

Don't know about anyone else but it can get quite stereotypical sometimes, the obsession over french wine. For me, it wouldn't be as exciting if the 12 apostles wines turn out to be all french. I mean this is a Japanese family, Japanese wine critics, not French wine critic family. Coming from an East Asian background, I know that in countries such as Japan and China. have a general fetishisation over French wine. I know so many people who although know little about wine, think every single bottle of French wine must be the greater than anything else they've ever drunken simply because of its "prestige".

Either way, is my little rant justified in any sense? Or have I missed something and French wine really is the best thing that ever happened to that little grape?

(ironically, talking so much, I want a cup of wine from my nothern neighbours now)

it's mostly because french wines have the most variety to them from one particular country, they also include italian wines, spanish wines, japanese ones and i think some others. However french wines are considered to the people in my country (chile, another big producer of wine) to be weak and low on taste... i don't know about that myself as i've never had a french wine, but i can't deny that the flavor of wines here tend to be stronger.
