26 sounds about right . . . Agree with most points except for the seiyuu's maybe just had a different image in mind I guess. Well even if their total planned ep. 42-45 that will all depend on Japanese reaction. There's just a different standard for them but yeah the manga finally moving kept my blood boiling hope they animate it well

The anime is pretty good, but doesn't matter how you look at it, manga is way better.

The anime just doesn't hit the funny parts like the manga does. I am not to sure why but for instance when Kuroko says " are you a grade schooler before a field trip" made me laugh alot whereas the anime it did not. Also the characters are really nice looking, while I am a girl and I like how they look. It is not how I imagined they would look animated.

Like others have said, it's too early to make comparisons yet, but I feel that the voices and the animation really bring out the characters for me, there's noone who really stands out to me as wrongly cast or anything.

That being said, how far do you think the anime will go? I looked it up on ANN & so far they only have 13 episodes. However I feel that there's enough material to make it at least 26, if not 52, but maybe they're just waiting to see it's popularity. I just hope we get to see more of the awesome matches animated!

Haha, this is just like me! I was surprised how fast it took me to pick this up and burn through it. I didn't even power through One Piece as fast as I did with Kuroko no Basket! Even my MangaFox signature used to be One Piece, and now it's KnB! O:

I was kind of taken aback by Kuroko's voice, but I can't imagine having ever thought his voice could sound any different. I suppose it fits very well. Seeing that his was the only one that I can remember being on the edge about, I think all of the other voices were perfect for me. They just effortlessly connected to the characters and I don't think there are any better alternatives.

I wonder if there's enough material for 52? There are actually only several matches in the manga. And the setback with animation is that you can't prolong a match for sixteen chapters like a mangaka can. Hate to be pessimistic, but I have a feeling that watching the anime will feel somewhat abrupt in comparison to reading the manga. D:
However, that won't stop me from watching each new episode as it comes out! Also, I'm loving the soundtrack, just like keikai.

Wow, I never noticed these! I usually close it right when the last scene plays.

I guess Kagami/Kuroko is a given, but it's not my first choice for a shounen-ai pairing from this manga. (I think that'd be Aomine/Kuroko).

Hyuuga/Riko is even almost canon, wouldn't you say? Well, they seemed like the most fitting to me. Either Hyuuga or Kiyoshi for Riko.

Kise/Kasamatsu is cute. Never considered it, but I really like Kasamatsu.

And Kise/Kuroko is just kind of ... awkward. Can't say why, but they seem really platonic. Not even a strong friendly connection.

Shipteases are so neat! It's cool that the creators take time to consider everyone's crack pairings. (:

LOL - This is my favorite part of the ending also when they change the slide picture before the scene where the Seirin team standing there with Riko at the middle.

Also, I can't see anything wrong for them pairing the characters cuz they do in the level where you only think that they are friends or buddies with the same interest in Basketball. Aside from Riko and Hyuuga cuz for me they seems to be portrait as lovers.

Anyway episode 4 "See you again next week" is soooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Kise is like Kuroko's brother. LOL

    Good news KnB fans.

Kuroko no Basuke OVA was announce! According to official website and Amazon every volume of the BD/DVD series of Kuroko no Basuke (both limited and normal edition) will contain animated bloopers, which will be based on the extra section of the original manga series.

There will be also an episode 22.5 listed on the eight volume of the BD/DVD. Though it is unconfirmed whether if this will be unaired special or a recap episode.

I like that see u pic after song(and eps 4 practically made me swoon, as for eps 2..is it just me or the captain and coach look rather old..especially the captain..)..oh not to mention the pic inside the ending song...lol its so funny in eps.3(where kise is doing his pose and then got kicked by his captain...), as for eps 1,2,4 its good for poster..
I like both anime and manga..I can see it in different prespective and the anime has good illustration quality and lot of good seiyuu while manga is ...manga..its the original source man..how can I prefer it less!

It's the first sports manga i have ever read. I found it thanks to its anime version and what can i say... it's SO DAMN GREAT! I already reread all 163 chapters and still can't get enough. And i hope it will be even greater watching them moving (first 4 episodes was really good i think).

it was so great that i had to sign up and comment ^^ (even though i was following this forum for quiet some time)
