So what happened to that fake Hijiri in the first chapter?

There seems to be a large leap in the plot during chapter 1. Wasn't Lilith there to stop that evil magician pretending to be Hijiri?

Arata saws he's going to be a mage and then the mage he's already arrived at the school. What happened to the conclusion with the evil mage?

By evil mage you mean Hijiri's shadow? I remember she was the one that cast the reconstruction spell but during that time Arata found out about hijiri, she removed the spell and showed him that the city is completely destroyed.
I think Hijiri's shadow is still alive though after Arata came to school.

Anyways, I noticed that fake Hijiri and Arin have similar abilities. Fake Hijiri used a barrier at chapter one when Lilith shoot at her and Arin used a barrier to trap Arata and the others inside his room.

the whole city and the childhood friend in chapter 1 is all Grimoire's doing since it is Arata's wish
