Default An actual, completely happy ending!?(Spoilers)

I was beginning to think that the mangaka didn't know what a happy ending was! After all, the closest ones before were chapters 9 and 10. The first one ended with a nice a guy going to jail for life for commiting about a dozen or so cold blooded murders, and never seeing the face of his lover ever again. The next one ended with the guy dying after completing his life's work, and having his adopted kids end up living back on the street. While they weren't soul crushingly depressing like the rest of Necromancer, they certainly can't be called "happy endings". I'd say they ended up in a gray area at best. But at least the characters were still happy.

So will Necromancer continue this new trend, or is the author just building our hopes up, just to tear them down?

A happy ending? Here? No. What will happen is her mother will track the girl down and either kill her or the performer, and the surviver will have the Necromancer bring the other back at the cost of his/her life. :(

I think the story only focus on telling people how wrong their desires can be and how those desires can backfire and screw them all over. But yeah, if the one with the desire are a bad guy, then we might and up with a (partly) happy ending. We might never know though. I didn't think this manga could have a happy ending after what happened to the necromancer's "apprentice" in the last chapter either.

It's not a new trend. It just proves that Necromancer is a character study of human desires. Don't let anything make you say otherwise. Some desires may turn out better or worse for some people. When two candidates are involved (the client and the subject), desires may backfire or just simply break altogether. We may have a good ending, we may have a bad one. We can only read more of this series to find out.

Well the question is how long can a manga like this go on. Also, there is no discernible goal of the main character. Though the happy ending was nice.

My guess is that a story arc will come eventually, with the main character being involved. His demon partner is a sure sign of that. Even for character studies, there has to be an arcing storyline that capitalizes on their themes. The "police girl" will also eventually be involved.

I was really surprised at the ending of this chapter. Personally, I really don't think that the mother will track her daughter until much later in the story (unless this is a two parter). I think that the next volume will probably get into a story arc like Garyuu said.

She's going to die in three years anyway, if my understanding is correct. He can only revive people for 3yrs at a time. -3yrs resurrectee = +3yrs resurrection Right??

Oh welll. It was a happy ending for once
    I bet $50 it won't happen again....

I think perhaps if this story ever does have a happy ending, it will be a bit of a twisted one, something that's both happy and yet totally wrong. This story just gives me that vibe all the time, but I truly love it .

nah her mother can't do that first off her lifespan was cut severely due to reviving her daughter so many times and she's basicly bankrupt after her daughter didn't show up and the necromancer writting a check with so many zeroes i can't count.
