    Default Admirality Code

Contains Potential Spoilers (And speculation for Chapter 29)

Is it possible that Admiralty Code is 'Sunk' on the moon? From the space suit she wears this might be the case. This would also explain why they other are having trouble finding her.

Also, it's possible that he name is either 'E' (For Enterprise), since she had the US flag on her suit, so it mightn't be too unlikely. It's also possible that she could be one of the Apollo craft.

Maybe for a crack she could be Victory, for the oldest naval vessel in service.

IMHO, she's a mental model for another ship, a highly ranked one. Possibly Enterprise (the carrier), but I really don't know.

Yeah, The Enterprise Carrier. Makes sense for the Admiralty Code to be an aircraft carrier, being the coordinator for the Fleet Of Fog.

Of course, it's quite likely that the Admiralty Code is benevolent, after all, what reason does the Fog have for not attacking land based cities (And stopping Maya's strategic bombardment of 2 of the major cities of Japan?)

There certainly is a fair amount of peaceful imagery involved with whomever that was. It makes sense for whoever that was to be a peaceful person/ship. Seeing as how the Enterprise was the most inveterate combatant of the war, it makes sense for he tobe a high-ranking ship, and for her to be peaceful in outlook. However, reading the re-posted chapters from book 4, I think that the admiralty code is something different, not a fog ship at all-it says that they/it were studying humanity in WWI, and that they sort of started observing us, and that the nanomaterials started gathering in the ocean afterwards.

Judging by the statements made in the liner notes, I'd say that "it" isn't something that can be possessed, but rather, an intelligence of its own, and I think it's safe to say that the Admiralty Code is going to become a faction in the near-future, if it hasn't started making it's move-with the disappearance of Nagara's core-already.

Yeah, the Nagara. At first i was wondering for quiet a while what that was. It's been a while since i read the first Chapter xD

But that´s a good point. The apperance of a new faction, the Admirality Code ) Maybe those will become the "devils" which the Fog (or parts) will rebell against. So, something like a "civil war" will happen in the Fog? ^^

Yes, this exactly. I was hoping for someone else to get it. I think that this will go like Macross, with some of the fog discovering human society and liking it, while others decide to just shoot everything. Between the splits among humans, and the splits among fog, we get a mixture of Macross and Zeta Gundam, with the Blue Fleet forming an AEUG counterpart, and having more people, like Hakugei and Haruna joining up.

Dunno about whether or not 'she' is the Admiralty Code, but the newest Mental Model has to the be the Enterprise. It's the only WWII warship to also have a space equivalent (the shuttle, not the ST starship). One thing I would be worried about though is that if the Mental Model is anything like the the 'personality' of the actual WWII carrier, 'she' will be as persistent as all hell, and likely also is a crack cryptographer as something of a side-bonus. Additionally, you have to just wonder about those carriers and whatever they use as fighters and/or bombers. I'm guessing it'll turn out to be something like out of the 'Returners' movie which would have a nice parallel to how the ships are portrayed here.

I agree with you on her being Enterprise. And she's probably going to be capable of huge endurance and soaking up tons of damage.

I'd like to know where you get that cryptographer idea, though.

I'm guessing that the carriers will either have HUGE missile magazines or carry modern-looking drones. Note the AUVs shown at the end of chapter 2 as Iona pulls out Nagasaki. They reported back to I-501. Something like that might be possible. A Returner-tribute is also possible, though.
