Well I think the writer was going with the Chinese zodiac, that's why the cat's are outsiders. But ya, beyond that the story is quite thin and lazy, and without a proper explanation, it will continue to be a week part of the manga. The dog expeshaly needs to be explained, as the manga starts "Animals first ruled the world, then came humans" and as you said, the dogs are the result of human domestication of wolves, so ya, it's a paradox.

Though it would be funny if the writer explains it as "The Animal Kingdom had simply just forgotten why they separated themselves form humans."

What strikes me as strange is that when the princess made her first appearance, all the animals were shocked to see her in a "disgusting" human form. The she comes to the human world, isn't used to talking and walks around naked because she's not used to them. Then any other animal that shows up, wears clothes and talks just fine. Also, they showed her childhood and everyone went to school in human form wears clothes. Makes no sense. That's where I thought you were going from the title of this thread. But I guess you can't look too deeply into the plot of this story.

But for the most part, I'm enjoying it. I just have to "go with it" on a few things.

OHH yah there are definitely plot holes in this, no doubt. But i find its a decent read. The big thing is how stupid the animals are cause they condemn the humans for being "barbaric" yet they are just as violent and vengeful at times too. Another fact at their stupidity [animals] is that they think this plan would have worked. BULLSHIT! No way could they turn 7 BILLION people into animals and even if they did we would do our "barbaric" thing of going to total war and try to kill every last one of them. Not to mention our tech is prob way ahead of them and the only thing that could hinder us from victory are their damn trans-dimensional(?) portals which I doubt we can launch nukes into...which we would at some point. I do find it funny how they are down playing the whole crisis that could happen if this goes bad. Blood Bath anyone?

I still wonder why people tend to over analyze/take too seriously mangas that aren't intended to be deep, and complain about why the plot sucks, etc...

I'm not hating the plot or over analyzing it, but animal kingdoms hypocrisy does annoy me to a certain degree. You just can't ignore it when you read in every single chapter... Aside from that this is a decent manga with great drawings.

I get what your saying, like when the princess tries to say that humans, especially shik-nam, are barbaric, yet it's the animals who are planning to commit genocide by turning all humans into animals. Not to mention she's the first to use violence just because he touched her.

Humans are evil so let's turn them all into animals who will be evil humans at heart.

its manga none of the plans are well thought out, the facts are messed up on who is doing what and what the accused people are, violence just turns into another form of greeting. IT DOES NOT NEED TO MAKE SENSE JUST SHUT UP AND READ!!!!!!!!!!
