/sigh. I think I did this thread before.

Well, now I don't think they're that weak. Haru and Kyoko are normal,

    I-Pin's strong,
Chrome.. I don't know about her.

    Lal Mirch ftw anyways.

    Agreed >.<

Kyoko and Haru somehow have a strong will (maybe), I just think that they're annoying xD
Chrome could kick ass if she wouldn't always rely on Mukuro
I-Pin is such a sweet girl and Yuni as well. She's really cute, not strong, but not useless and the most important: she's not annoying
And Lal is the best girl in KHR anyway. Lal FTW!
And that the guys are stronger... well, it's a shounen manga^^ We should be happy that they (besides Adel..) didn't end up as "miss fanservice" -.-*

Another one of those threads... Oh well...

Nah. Then she wouldn't have killed Bluebell 8D

On a side note, I was curious about the female character ratio in KHR!, so I calculated it myself~ Out of 105 characters (box weapons, Hibird, Enzo, Leon etc, Mammon, Bermuda von Vichtenstein and Gola Mosca excluded), there are 22 females; in other words, there are about 21% females in KHR! XD But I think we should also consider that it's unlikely there are 50% males and 50% females in the mafia. :| Moreover, it could be worse. Look at K-ON.

    That's probably true.
The ones attracted to a guy are Suzuki, Nana, Haru, Lal, Hana, Elena, Lavina, I-Pin, Bianchi, M.M., Chrome, Shit P.
That only leaves: Kyoko (?), Iris, Aria, Oregano, Luce, Cervello, Bluebell, Daniela, Uni (?), Pantera (remember the Tomaso Famiglia? XD).
The relatively strong ones would be Suzuki, Lal, I-Pin, Bianchi, Iris, Bluebell and Daniela.
I left out M.M. and Oregano because their watches got crushed quite early. Now of course if they were up to someone really strong, that doesn't mean they're weak but it's unlikely Amano just randomly made them lose. Chrome relies too heavily on Rokudo and I'm unsure about Shit P. Daniela is a former Vongola Boss so it's almost a given she's strong.
While I don't think it's a bad thing to be attracted to a guy (XD), it seems as though that's their only connection to the story. Elena is a good example.

This is also part of KHR!'s humour, so Amano can't just change this on a whim...

I never really thought about this... Probably Hana or Lal. Daniela seems to be a badass, too, but we never saw her in action. (Wasn't she even in a relatively high rank one of the popularity polls?)

Ohh my another thread about our Khr females. Hopefully this one will be nicer ouo

Anyway I agree that the girls are for lack of a better word useless, they've never done anything remotely helpful, other than cook and clean

And those who have proven to be of use are cast aside, as if they shouldn't be fighting

Like ipin and lal and bianchi they were extremely stony females when first introduced, actually helping the main casrlt, and now? We rarely see bianchi, ipin though a child she has Provence the cabability to figght as a child, has just become another person to be protected. I still have high hopes for Lal hopefully she'll do some awesome things in this arc

Chrome I hopewill become badass and actually do some awesome this time around, and I'm hoping Mammon is a girl just so we can have at least one girl people wont complain about

I like our girls, despite being weak in the sense they cant fight it does not make them weak people, I meaning find Haru and Uni (along with the other sky arcobalenco) rather strong people.in a different sense each character has their own strength and it doesn't have to be physical

well you know, in all those famous anime/manga >bleach/naruto/one piece/fairy tail/KHR ....... all the females character tends to be weak i guess it is the ''selling point'' for the guys since female being stronger than the guys would seems absurd =____=
anyway i like kyoko/haru personality and have no problem with them, they are like the normal people in the series, their innocence/stupidity is what make the story funny no?? and than again it is the selling point for the ''guys'' you know,''innocent/stupid=cute,well its a shounen manga =____=
and btw if memories serve me right they actually said that chrome become quite the fighter after 10 years no? and adult I-PIN show how good of a fighter she are too without using any ring/box weapon~

Definitely KHR's biggest weakness... Chrome, Shit P, I-Pin, and Adelheid are the only ones that are semi-powerful but they don't have half the fighting strength of Tsuna, Hibari, Byakuran, etc.

Sometimes I wished KHR had strong girls like other shounen mangas, but I like it how it is, I like the girls how they are..

I believe that Amano didn't help in her the point of view.. I mean, Lal Mirch is really really strong, but Amano had to create a Trinisette whatever, so she weakened and couldn't fight..

I-pin is a great fighter as an adult.. but she 's still a kid in the present, so we couldn't see her skills like we wanted.

Adelheid is also very strong, and I believe that if the battle against Hibari wasn't only for taking the other's armbands, she would probably fight for real instead to protect herself in a castle of Ice..

Bianchi is a famous hitman inside mafia.. everyone knows her name.. but you know how she ended..

Chrome is also strong, but maybe not in the "Vongola Guardian" level, I should say.

So, I believe KHR has many strong girls if we think further than what we see inside the panels...

I'd say one of the things that bothers me about this argument is that in this manga, someone sees a female in the kitchen it would automatically mean she's weak.

As awesome as it is for female characters to be "badass" and fight in a series, in all reality, not every woman can fight. Kyoko and Haru, two of the "weaker" females, have no fighting experience whatsoever, and were literally thrown into a world they knew nothing about, had to live with people they weren't too familiar with, and didn't even have the entire situation explained to them until RIGHT before the Choice battle. I believe that while they don't provide any fighting support, they do provide the emotional support of the characters. If I remember, Shouichi even said something along the lines of, "You'd grow a lot stronger if you have someone to protect." to Tsuna and his guardians in the Melone base. --> http://www.mangafox.com/manga/kateky...24/c219/7.html Without this emotional drive, this manga would've probably been over a lot sooner because Tsuna, being the kind of guy he is, fights purely out of emotion. He only fights to protect his friends, so without those he can protect, what reason would he need to fight?

Chrome is a character I believe doesn't quite get the chance to show her skills a lot of the time. You see Mukuro come in for her to basically "win" the current situation. But it's hard to compare their power, even if they had to coexist with one another (up until the most recent arc, that is). Mukuro's been training himself, has literally gone through hell, since he was what, eight years old? Sure, he's strong, but I respect Chrome because she's honestly trying her hardest to become stronger--to protect what's dear to her. And when you think when you think about it, Chrome herself was only recently entered into the mafia world a little earlier than Kyoko and Haru--during the Varia arc (which was, right before the future). But I guess I kind of like how, with Chrome's prowess, Amano doesn't automatically give her the essential ability to fight--Chrome has to work for it.

(Either way, I'm still irritated with that cliffhanger Amano left us with Chrome though :/)

With Lal and Bianchi, they've been trained in this kind of field for years, so I it's really only natural that they'd be stronger. Lal was even an Arcobaleno candidate, and is currently a higher up in CEDEF, if I recall. Bianchi is a hitman, and this means I wouldn't put it past her to have had a bit of experience in killing--with, of course, her deadly poison cooking. But remember, they're actually stronger physically because they've worked on their skills for a much longer time than other more prominent females in the series. Though, I believe Bianchi's been cast aside a bit recently... >_>

I-Pin's a bit of a different story. She's only five, and she's been ranked high in Fuuta's books for "potential to be a hitman", or something like that. We already know the kind of power her TYL self has, and hey, we find that pretty awesome. But hey, she's been at it since at least about three years old, right? Of course she would be able to fight like that. Not only that, but her master was Fong, who is a martial arts champion with high combat skills and ability. This is pretty awesome and all, but we've got to remember: at present day, I-Pin is still a five year old kid. Five year old kids like to play and have fun, and I think she kind of needs to live her childhood. This is the reason why she has become "someone to protect".

Hm, it may be a little harder to go in depth on the others for me. Uni's the Sky Arcobaleno, so I feel like it's just not in her nature to fight. I can't assume much about Bluebell, other than that she had a carnage box in the future and that she's currently Byakuran's rain guardian(?).

Oh! Shitt P and Adelheid... I have to say, Shitt P totally threw me off more than any character in this series... EVER. And learning about what she dealt with through childhood and how that affected her views on life, I have to say I have quite a bit of respect for her. In terms of strength, it's hard to tell, since she's had but that one battle... And Adelheid, from the way I see it, does anything and everything for the sake of the Shimon family. She's a strong willed and independent girl (with the occasional tsundere attitude around certain people), and she seems almost motherly at times (coughENMAcough).

Well, that went a little longer than anticipated! O_o But in conclusion, I think Amano is trying to show her audience that her girls all have different capabilities and different contributions to the story. It's not all about being able to smash a rock with one punch, or being able to take out an opponent twice their size. Female characters don't need to be physically advanced in combat to provide a strong role.

And honestly, no matter what anyone says, I love all the female characters, regardless of any flaws or how small panel time they might have.

Maybe we're just too used to the overly strong guys so we think of the females as weak :O

I also thought about that. (Although this thread's topic seems to be solely physical strength...)

But Lambo is five years old, too. Imo, they should have switched those two's roles. :|

Dude! Listen to me all of you out there that is hating the weak , The girls in KHR really helped alot and without the girls,
The Vongola didnt succeed anyways.. So what do you think makes Mukuro and Hibari BADASS? Cuz they are the only strong ppl.
Come to think of it , KHR full of mukuros and hibaris no weak girls. NO ONE will stand up as an awesome cool guy like Hibari and
Mukuro. I admit that I also hate weak girls cuz they are annoying.
