Zanpakuto Powers and abilities.

I saw something like this in the Hunter X Hunter Forum and thought it'd be cool to do it on the bleach one as well, I am new to the forum(should be obvious) also I hope this hasn't been done already if so then my apologies.

Now What would you're zanpakuto's powers and abilities be? what would it look like? share

As for me mine would be called Kuroi Kaen-Kuroi Shi(Garden of black flowers/Black Death) It has two names and I'll explain why, You know how Ichigo has both Shirosaki and Zangetsu and how they fused into one? Well My Zanpakuto is much like that it can be fused together to form one singular blade or can be taken apart to form two one called Kuroi Kaeon and the other Kuroi Shi. The singular blade is about the same length as Tensa Zangetsu which is about 60 inches. It's quite a long sword, It's not as thick/wide as Zabuza momochis decapitator but roughly half the size of that. It has four black orbs running up blade representing two major things, one the reiatsu I have and two the power of my sword. at the end it has a long white chain roughly 20 inches. The chain has one important function it's a timer. now for abilities.

My zanpakuto has but four abilities. however splitting the sword gives way to 6 abilities. The chain is a timer letting me know how long until I can split my sword. the more I cut you the more the chain shortens.

Kuroi- this ability is constantly active so long as my sword remains in my hand, I can enter any and all shadows. I however have no shadow. the second part of this ability is very handy. My sword does not cut into the body but rather the soul. meaning If I cut you my sword devours apart of your life force and energy fueling my own energy and life force.

Kuroi shi- anything I cut becomes a shadow. now my sword may not be able to cut you but I can cut anything else.

Kokoryu(black dragon)- Using the shadows already present or created by my sword I can summon forth limitless(so long as shadows are present) Black Dragons that breathe fire the burns endlessly. They are blind but however have unmatched senses of hearing and smell.

Kokuryūkai(black dragon society)- doing the same as the prior ability however in this case I am creating five warriors with ten times the power of the dragons, each one takes on the appearance of samurai surrounded in black hell fire.

Now when and if I can split the sword six new abilities arise. 3 for each blade. when the sword splits the chain becomes two and wraps around my arms ensuring that at all times I am connected to the blades.

Kuroi Kaen- It's abilities are-- Sosei(reborn or resurrected) This ability is a self activating one. if I am to die the sword envelops me in a garden of black roses and then blooms into a singular black rose that revives me to 70 percent.

Tenshi no Kira(Angel Killer)- Using Kuroi Kaen and stabbing into the ground I can send forth waves of black white energy in the shape of a star around my enemy and much like uryuus technique black vines and flowers alfame shoot forth into the sky and at the top an angel of death slashes downward with ice.

Itsu made mo(forever(I may have said this wrong forgive me if I have))- Throwing Kuroi Kaen into the sky and slashing at it with Kuroi Shi I ignite Kuroi Kaen in white fire that envelops both me and my enemy in a dome of pure white. Several clocks appear on Kuroi Kaen this clocks represent that time has stopped forever inside this dome. one clock represents my life the other represents my foes, every five minutes inside the dome time will rapidly start up causing both your body to age severely, I am void from this because the chain that is attached to my arm and the sword act as a shield. if you fall down you then become unable to stand and are crushed eternally by relentless gravity.

Kuroi shi- It's abilities are--

Eien no honou(Eternal flame)- Kuroi shi becomes enveloped in endless black flames, using these flames I am able to slash and not only create a shadow but create one the burns endlessly with flames hotter than the sun. from these flames I can then direct them much like how Byakuya does with his petals.

Saigo Ni(end)- Throwing both swords to my left and right I begin to spin my arms creating black tornado's that extend through my arm up the chain and at the tip of the sword black claws are formed. jumping into the sky I twist my body and point one arm towards the enemy the other towards the sky the one towards the sky gathers all the energy from anything possible channeling it to the other end my right claw(pointed at the enemy) creates a massive orb of energy the force of the power gathered creates a suction like trap of gravity that ensnares the enemy making it almost impossible to dodge, using my left arm I drive the entire tornado into my right arm causing a massive explosion in force and power that shoots forth the orb of energy that literally causes whatever it touches to vanishes completely from existence. Now this ability obviously takes a-lot of time to do and can be disturbed but the moment I'm in the sky it's a done deal. This is one of those attacks that are a last resort and can only be used when the person is distracted.

Aokigahara(sea of trees)- much like the actual forest where it has a historic association with suicides and demons, this creates a massive forest around the enemy and myself and fills it with various forms of suicide and demons that constantly screw the enemies mind in the most gruesome and disturbing way.



I know it's a lot to read but I love things like this I apologize if I have gotten any of the translations wrong if so let me know and correct me. So what about you guys? what cool and interesting zanpakuto can you think of? I may come back to edit the tornado one it seems a bit absurd XD

Bankai : Aoi Tsuki Shisui ( Blue Moon Death Water ) Sword glows a Royal Blue Tint and can now control Water properties to the fullest extent .... Can cause a Tsunami from one swing .... Has control over Boiling and freezing Water ..... Can use water blade to reflect off the moon to cause Illusions

Alright, I have always like talking about stuff like this. However before I describe mine I have to address something that bothers me, that being how ridiculously overpowered your Zanpakuto is. Granted it is imaginative to give yourself two fighting forms, three swords, shadow-manipulation, endless black fire (amaterasu), the ability to create endless black dragons that breathe endless black fire, warriors that are ten (count 'em ten) times stronger than said dragon, lifesteal, time manipulation which is inescapable and to which you are immune, gravity manipulation, wind manipulation, a spirit bomb, resurrection, creation of a sea of trees (which I imagine must be huge) that surrounds your opponent and spawns unholy abominations of unimaginable horror, oh and I almost forgot about the angel of death that attacks your enemy with a blade of ice (considering you're a shinigami and basically an angel of death, does this mean Hitsugaya is summoned to aid you in battle?). Now hopefully having seen how long my sentence was simply naming all of the abilities you have given yourself you can see why that second poster called you narcissistic (he was a jerk by the way), I get that you enjoy the idea of being a shinigami, but try inserting yourself in the bleach universe with all of those abilities. Do you think anyone would enjoy reading about an infinitely powerful, unable to be killed character? There would be a wall of hate threads on this site. So while I commend your imagination, I must also condemn your inability maintain the spirit of the manga. Try redesigning you zanpakuto, maybe losing six or seven of those abilities and posting again I'm sure you can still be badass without being overpowered.

Now that that ugly business is over I can describe what I would like my zanpakuto to be like.
Shikai: Kin Futago (Metal Twins) Basically I have two identical broadswords, with the ability myself and the blades being linked in that if a sword is knocked out of my hand, it can be teleported to myself or I can teleport to it. This would create an interesting fighting style in that I could hurl my blade at my enemies only to reappear were it lands, or bring it immediately back for another throw.

Bankai: Kin Keizu (Metal Family Tree) I maintain my to initial two swords and gain a hovering ring of eight more swords behind me. This ring of blades also possesses the link property of the first two swords with the addition of the ability to "see" through the swords if there beyond my sight (like a ward) as well as the ability to move in order to deflect attacks from different angles either as one sword at a time or as a group depending on the severity of the attack. I can mentally manipulate them in order to utilize them as an offensive whirlwind or to fire them towards my enemies. I can also of course fire them all of in random directions.

My style is obviously designed for fighting other combat-type zanpakuto(s). I'm not sure on the plural there. See? Cool, yet far from overpowered. Also, huzzah for my first post in Mangafox! P.S. I don't speak Japanese I only included Japanese names for my forms because the first two did.

my would be Setsuna ( a split moment). the release command is "Times Up". the shikai form gives it improved cutting power and certain control over time named "Time Grasp". I could slow down the flow of time around me by a certain amount with only me and whatever i want to be unaffected. it would allow me to clear great distances in a much shorter amount of time, effectively granting me fast speed. i could easily use evasive and offensive maneuvers to outfight my opponents like dodging a slash or a blast that i would be normally unable to dodge and attack back. i could consciously change the rate of time slow but it will cost me more energy to have the rate at higher values.

if i had Bankai, i would have more enhancements like decreased spiritual energy cost and much stronger cutting power. i would have more abilities such as completely stopping time with only me being unaffected for a short time. if i wanted to have more "hax", hmm, maybe very limited time reversal.

to balance out things, i could be caught unprepared when my abilities are not activated. and my ability has area limits.

My Zanpaktou in its sealed state is a regular Katana with the hand guard shaped like dragons head with the blade extending from its open mouth.

Shikai takes the form of two swords, each only having half of the hand guard on the outer side of each blade.

Release command: Extend your claws to shred the earth and unfurl your wings to engulf the heavens
while reciting the command the sword is held backhanded in the left hand at side as if its in its scabbard, the right hand then goes as if to draw the sword, pulling away materializes the second blade.

Abilities:

1. By slashing both swords vertically beams of shadow like trails of energy are formed in the air which will then stay there until either sword is swung horizontally across them they will shoot forward and will explode on contact. Can be used for defensive purposes but risky as its possible to get caught in the explosion.

2. If both my Shadow and my opponents are connected I can stab my shadow to cause multiple shadow blades to extend up from my opponent shadow, each shadow blade is 20 inches long the number of blades produced will depend on the size of opponents shadow.

Bankai

Allows manipulation of my own shadow and any that it is touching if one sword is touching it. Used to make opponents shadow rises and engulf them so shadow blades can be used in an iron maiden effect.

that's the problem with me, I have put so much thought into things like this that I tend to always have overpowered abilities lol

Um yea new to this...

Shikai: Feirusēfu (failsafe) looks like a normal sword but has a stopwatch attached by a chain at the bottom it has a constant effect of slowing down time before i'm attacked by an enemy so i can escape but only if i can see the attack P.S. i cant attack with my shikai it's purely for defense

Bankai: Furubijon no feirusēfu (full vision failsafe) almost same look but it's completely black this time i can slow down time from attacks all round and i can move closer to attack the enemy but if i'm too close too the enemy the effect doesn't work
