Shuuko: Then, about Mabuchi. How did you fall in love with him?

Futaba: He says mean things. He’s hard to understand. He’s fickle. But he’s really nice.
Futaba: Still, there are lots of people who are nicer than him.
Futaba: Really, how did I fall in love with Kou?

Except FuxKou moment, I like this chap very much. I like Fu 's face when touma "ignore" her. just like you feel you are left alone, lose something important to you. And She starts to think about his cold side. She is changing

I felt as though this was easily one of the better chapters in quite some time, though that's not exactly saying much. Futaba did the sane and commendable thing by quickly rejecting a guy she has never felt anything for. Despite what some here seem to think, her agreeing to date Touma would have been pathetic and would have merely caused Touma even more pain later on. Regardless, she has absolutely no chemistry with him, so it's painfully obvious that even if she had dated him to exact some ill-conceived revenge on Kou, she would have never fallen for him. Honestly, they appear like siblings more than anything. Also, I really didn't care for Touma's characterization in this chapter. He's always been a poor excuse for a character, but I at least thought that he would fully understand the limitations that are staring him in the face after the rejection. I mean, his solution to Futaba's rejection is to basically show another side of him that he had been keeping restrained for whatever reason, which sounds laughable, and I highly doubt new depth to his character will be magically revealed, unless he resorts to being even more manipulative.

As for Kou and Futaba's moment at the end of the chapter, I liked it, but Kou needs to endure some form of a tangible consequence for his misguided actions in the past. Though he believes himself to be doing the right thing, he has also hurt Futaba in the process, and he should fully realize this mistake before he inevitably resumes a relationship with Futaba.

I'm merely wondering, but when has Touma ever been important to Futaba? She's never seemed to care that much about him at all. Also, IMO, when he "ignored" her, the look she had was simply a feeling of sadness for rejecting and thus hurting him, not really something that would imply her feelings are starting to become conflicted.

Yeah. When I rethink about it, you are right. He is not that important to Futaba, but the way she look is not a feeling of sadness for rejecting and thus hurting him, it is just like she is astonished by his cold character and being l ignored. A girl 's emotion is so complicated, so we can have different ways to think. But at least, she becomes to consider about falling in love Touma. To me, it is the best

I'm probably going to get majorly hated on for saying this and although I haven't read Chapter 29 yet, I've never really thought that Touma was that nice of a character. He knew that she had feelings for someone else and waited for her to be rejected before making a move. Rather than confronting her with his feelings, he waited for an opening. That's a little sneaky, though I guess this is just is in my opinion. Not that Kou is any better but I just don't quite understand this fascination with Touma. Besides being 'nice' what else does he have to offer her and although I haven't read chapter 29, I've read in this post that he ignores her after she rejects him. Did he ignore her because he didn't get his way, as I imagined she said she just wanted to be friends and basically 'friendzoned' him or was he upset and embarrassed to face her? The latter suggests he is 'nice', the other...well, I'm sure a lot of girls have run in to that type of guy. I'm waiting for the chapter to be released on here but if that's the case, I think Touma is even less of a nice guy than I did before and as you can tell I don't think he's actually that nice at all. He also knew from the beginning she liked Kou so really, he was set to fail from the beginning. Besides the characterisation of the boys being quite irritating in this, I really love the friendship portrayal of Futaba, Shuuko and Yuuri. They are so cute and supportive and it's lovely to see girls together as friends rather than always competing!
