I couldn't find a discussion so here it is.

I'm confused about Capella... why is Birdy practically thrown out of her job after accidentally wounding a human, but then Capella goes around killing people willy nilly and people barely blink?

I just uploaded another chapter that has some more info on that. Basically, Capella was the one who relieved Birdy of her duty and took over the investigation. That, and protecting Tsutomu made it harder to track down Revi. Didn't help that Chigira got shot and Hayamiya kidnapped. But I'm a little perplexed as well as to why a sociopath would be allowed to be in her position. I'm thinking she was sent by someone else in the Federation and not Megius. It's likely some conspiracy that unfolds over several chapters. I don't read all that far ahead so even I don't know yet.

Wow, timely response from the translator him/herself

I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels this way.

On a different note, has anyone else noticed some older manga (this is semi-old, but a remake of a notably older manga) don't suffer from a lot of cliches newer manga often do and in general come out with far fewer flaws?

Ronin, i was wondering, how do you get the RAWs? I found the novels on eBay for cheap and was wondering if you wanted a scanner to help (buy the novels, send them or scan them to you.)

All 20 Volumes are available on the RAW sites out there and Volume 1-7 Of Evolution. Now, Volume 8 came out last month in Japan and I haven't seen that one scanned so you might scan it. That being said, it will be a looooonggg time before I get to that one.

I love that Birdy is back. Thank you Ronin Ixioran! But this weeks issue brings up a question. Why the chatter about male vs female clothes? What happened to Birdy's back story, that she worked part time as an idol and is quite fashionable as a female? She shouldn't need to get a female wardrobe, except to update her current one. And, she should be fully aware of the weight of earth clothes.

@Jane - It had a little more meaning in Japanese. She used the polite, formal version of yes instead of the everyday one. She is less polite to him in the next chapter .

@Myki - You're welcome. The manga doesn't have the Shion Arita sidestory that the anime had. But your question is a timely one, the next chapter introduces a character from the anime not seen yet that is related to it. She had to borrow Tsutomu's clothes to be able to go incognito during the day. The "space suit" would have attracted some attention. She eventually fixes that problem.
