    does he get the things birdy gave up to save his life? cause i'm pretty sure her half her life span and healing abilities are greater than a humans

    Yes, to the extent that she gave those up to support the extra consciousness that is now depending on her body. His natural abilities don't improve beyond Birdy's basic capabilities ( because Birdy's eyesight is fine, he no longer needs glasses). Also, anything that Birdy's body is immune to he is now immune to (which is why the alien wasn't able to crush his neck, as Birdy remarked).
