A lot of manga and stories have been like that. It seems like every horror movie works that way too. They usually die later on towards the end if they ever die at all. Usually everyone else dies though.

...because it makes it more dramatic...or because it's more interesting and people seem to like it, for example keeping up with the kardashians, true it's an american show but it's very popular for some very, very, very, very f$!@ed up reason.

If you have read mangaka's previous work "Zero" . In that its also the same scenario , the main character and her girl die in the end... but one of the ugly b*tch gets to have a happy ending ...lol

ofcourse the human die, because like you said they are minor characters which mean's they are allowed to die, the ones who does not die have important roles in the manga, although it's true about the bitches part.

It's to make the manga interesting, it would ruin the fun when let's say a character meet someone and after that they are the best friend, it's better to make them forced to team up with each other and after that they become friend.

Yeah, but even that can get old. Too much of anything is to much. It's the same as always going for the disney BS just to please the soccer moms, only it's on a different path.

It's kinda snapping to see nice people die and bitches survive, but just like other people have said, it makes the story interesting somehow. =)
