i don't think it's something to be afraid of. if guys have those thoughts then girls too. it's just that girls tend to be discreet about these things.

It is not something girls MUST be afraid of, but they just do. In most societies, girls are expected to learn how to become "good wife" since early. Not only physical, but also psychologically; which is somehow different burden with boys since the obligatory of husband is only "making money" so he can keep a living for his wife and children (in short, boys are more expected to be smart and rich so they can get job more easily). Well, you know the common rules for girls: don't wander and go home late at night, don't enter boy's bedroom, if you need to go out somewhere far you should never go alone, etc - or else people will think you are a "naughty girl". That is why girls tend to be discreet about sex topic. Even only *thinking* about perverted things also counts as what girls need to keep secret. It's like unwritten norms.
